Lex's Lens: New Orleans

Posted by Alexis Corry on

Tasty, eccentric, wild, beautiful; New Orleans is true Bohemia.

Discovering the charm of the French Quarter, grabbing a drink at the local dives, live music everywhere, and then there's the food... po-boys, etoufee, jambalaya, beignets; need I say more?

An early-morning, quintessential New Orleans breakfast at Elizabeth's is a must; and an afternoon will be well spent at Bacchanal Wine, the ultimate backyard-party. The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery was my home-away-from-home for the long weekend, and the boutique hotel really had me feeling inspired day-in and day-out. My getaway concluded with a quaint tour of the Garden District and a pit-stop at District Donuts. Oh, and a lot of oysters.

Spring Aesthetics

Posted by Alexis Corry on

This spring is going to be nostalgic for me. My days in high school will be winding down as I get ready for finals and APs, spending my nights at concerts with friends and my days pretending to study with classmates. As I get my look for my warm weather wardrobe, I feel like blue is my color this season.

My weekend in Florida made me appreciate the natural hues of greens, blues, and grays that make up the perfect color scheme for this spring. Whether sunny days or rainy nights, you can never go wrong with a natural green, a steely gray, or a sea blue. The aesthetic makes me so excited for the freedom of my senior spring.

Lex's Lens: Spring Break

Posted by Alexis Corry on

No matter where you're going, when, who you're with, what you're doing - everyone needs a break from the Winter for that official excitement for Spring and Summer to begin.

I couldn't wait to get to the beach and pack my favorite Spring items. Knits and sand, one-size-fits-all tunics, and hand-dyed maxis; and I was eager to start using our new beach towels and Emy Mack sandals. My Dutzi bags and sunscreen were in check, packing list well-executed, and I was beach ready.
